About Us

I founded Collaborative IT L.L.C. in November of 2020, while we were all still dealing with a global pandemic. I had been working as an independent contractor for many years by that point, but the path I followed to get there was not a straight one. The first stop was retail management, where I was able to learn how large businesses worked and about the processes they used to be productive. Feeling that my skills were being under utilized, I began looking for entry level positions in IT. I found an opportunity in workforce management monitoring a team of pharmacists and providing quality assurance for their call center. From there I continued in the healthcare industry. Moving on to a job at a large medical certifying board, I began working on database management and UI/UX improvement and design for internal and partner services.

My experiences in the healthcare industry expanded my IT knowledge. In 2010, I started leaning into entrepreneurship. I contracted services for individual clients, doing everything my customers could think of: web design, home theatre design, network administration, security camera system installs, computer maintenance. If it was IT related, I would offer to help in some way. Eventually I offered these services and others to small businesses and non-profits. Dealing with larger organizations forced me to re-evaluate my service offerings and even create new ones. Years later, meeting design and production would become a focal point, as I worked to create solutions for businesses to communicate and design the systems they used for that communication.

With the establishment of Collaborative IT, now I am able to use all the knowledge I’ve learned over the years, and the experience I’ve gained to help others who are trying to make the most out of what they have right now. By working in so many areas of IT, I’ve been able to build the foundation Collaborative IT. That foundation is about resourcefulness and collaboration. Being able to use our resources to be successful is a prerequisite. And that same foundation is at the heart of what my Collaborative IT offers its clients. No matter what jobs we did or what services we provided, the common denominator was always people. Building relationships that are respectful and mutually beneficial is not just a passion for me, it’s good business. I hope that you’ll let Collaborative IT share our passion with you.
